There are many apps on the market which can help you explore North East Norfolk’s heritage, or add extra fun to a day out.
We have divided our recommendations into Touring Guides, Heritage Resources, Natural History Apps and Art and Photography Apps. The latter two contain ideas for making outings more fun for young people. In each case, we have indicated their availability for iPad, iPhone and Android users.
Please bear in mind that any of the geolocating, image or video sharing functions described below will need a roaming or wifi broadband connection, and these can be costly or intermittent in rural locations. Guides and maps can be downloaded at home to avoid this addition to your phone bill, whilst photos or art work created on a day trip can, of course, be shared online at a later date.
